Coach Development
Great coaching is about more than knowing the technical model of a skill.
I work with coaches from parkour, gymnastics and other sports to develop the way they coach—helping them become more adaptable, athlete-centred and effective.

Developing Better Coaches, Not Just Better Technicians
My approach draws on parkour and gymnastics—particularly problem solving, adaptability, exploration, decision-making and individual movement solutions. These principles can be applied far beyond parkour.
Parkour Coach Development
Develop coaches who understand both the technical and philosophical foundations of parkour.
- Skill development and progressions
- Safety and risk management
- Creating effective movement environments
- Athlete autonomy and problem solving
- Coaching speed and freestyle
- Session planning
- Adaptable rather than prescriptive coaching
Gymnastics Coach Development
Support gymnastics coaches to expand their coaching toolkit across recreational and competitive environments.
- Coaching methodology
- Skill development and progression
- Session and programme planning
- Athlete engagement
- More athlete-centred environments
- Adapting activities and equipment
- Moving beyond prescribed skill teaching
Coach Development Across Sport
I can work with coaches from rugby, football and other sporting codes. I do not teach another sport’s technical content; I bring a different perspective to how athletes learn and how coaches create that learning.
- Athlete-centred coaching
- Problem solving and decision-making
- Creating adaptable athletes
- Questioning versus directing
- Confidence and autonomy
- Appropriate challenge and risk
- Personal coaching philosophy
- Reflective coaching practice
A Different Perspective on Coaching
Parkour provides an unusual lens for coach development. There is not always one predetermined solution. Athletes learn to assess an environment, understand their abilities, make decisions, experiment and adapt.
Those same principles can help coaches in other sports reconsider the way they develop athletes.
The objective isn’t to turn a rugby, football or gymnastics coach into a parkour coach. It’s to use the principles behind parkour to help them become a better coach in their own sport.
Develop Your Coaches
Coach development can be designed for individual coaches, coaching teams, clubs or sporting organisations—from targeted workshops through to longer-term development and mentoring.
