Parkour in Schools Programme
Bring movement, confidence, and creativity into your school’s PE programme.
Overview
Evolution Parkour Academy offers a curriculum-aligned Parkour in Schools Programme designed to complement PE and wellbeing outcomes. It encourages students to explore movement, build confidence, and engage in creative physical activity within a safe and structured environment.
Each session is delivered by a qualified and police-vetted parkour coach using purpose-built mobile equipment and/or approved school structures, ensuring both safety and variety for students.
Curriculum Connection
The Parkour in Schools programme connects directly to the New Zealand Health & Physical Education Curriculum, focusing on:
- Movement Concepts & Motor Skills: Exploring locomotor, balance, and manipulative movement patterns in creative ways.
- Positive Attitudes: Building resilience, self-confidence, and cooperation through challenge and success.
- Safety & Responsibility: Understanding risk management and personal limits.
- Community & Participation: Promoting inclusion and teamwork through shared experiences.
Session Structure
Sessions are designed to be progressive, engaging, and adaptable for all age groups and ability levels. Each includes:
- Dynamic warm-up and introduction to parkour principles
- Skill stations focusing on balance, jumping, vaulting, and landing
- Movement challenges and group activities
- Reflection and cool-down to reinforce learning outcomes
Safety & RAMS
Parkour is often seen as extreme — however, our approach focuses on safe, progressive movement education. The programme operates as a due diligence framework to ensure safety and understanding of risk within active play.
All safety documents, including our Risk Analysis and Management System (RAMS), can be provided on request.
Equipment & Setup
We provide purpose-built portable parkour equipment suitable for school environments. Depending on your school’s preferences, we can either:
- Use existing school structures (playgrounds, courts, or outdoor areas)
- Or use Evolution Parkour’s mobile gear for a complete setup
This flexibility ensures the programme fits within your environment and risk management guidelines.
Programme Costs & Booking
Programmes are typically structured on a per-student rate. Minimum group sizes apply, and larger groups may be split into multiple sessions per day. A teacher must be present for groups of 15 or more.
